Durant le mois d’octobre de 1938, suite à l’annexion de la Région des Sudètes au Reich allemand, près de 1 600 juifs ont fui la ville de Reichenberg (maintenant Liberec dans la République tchèque) et ses environs pour se réfugier à Prague. Cette collection contient les noms d’environ 900 de ces réfugiés.

Jews influenced and contributed to the culture of Reichenberg for hundreds of years. Prior to World War II, many held prominent positions in the city. In October of 1938, approximately 1,600 Jewish inhabitants from the city and surrounding areas fled to Prague due to the Sudetenland being annexed to the German Reich. Many of these refugees were eventually deported and killed. This collection contains about 900 individuals from Reichenberg.
