Listes d’inscription des électeurs du Kansas, de 1854 à 1856

With the passage of the Kansas-Nebraska Act of 1854, Kansas became a territory. However, with the issue of slavery still undecided in the Union, this new territory became "bleeding Kansas," as pro- and anti-slavery factions sought local control. This database is a transcription of voter registration lists compiled between 1854 and 1856. It provides the resident's name along with city, district, and precinct or township where they were registered to vote. Page numbers are included to aid the researcher in finding the original record. Including the names of over 16,000 persons, this collection can be a great aid to those seeking early Kansan ancestors.
